Chinese Massage NYC | TuiNa Massage

TuiNa massage is a body massage technique that originated in ancient China, and it’s part of traditional Chinese medicine, along with acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, etc. From the principle of Chinese medicine, the imbalances of Qi (the body’s energy) can cause blockages and generate symptoms such as pain and other illness. TuiNa massage adjusts the flow of Qi to help the body balance and recover, which shares the same principles as acupuncture.

How It Works

(1) Health Assessment

Our licensed practitioners begin with a comprehensive consultation to evaluate your physical condition, areas of discomfort, and wellness goals. This assessment helps us develop a tailored Tuina massage plan that aligns with your specific therapeutic needs.

(2) Treatment Session

During each Tuina massage session, therapists use techniques such as rolling, kneading, and stretching to target muscle tension and improve energy flow. These methods are applied to specific acupoints and meridians to restore balance and promote healing under the guidance of our licensed practitioners.

(3) Aftercare Guidance

Following the session, we provide individualized aftercare advice to help your body integrate the benefits of the treatment. This may include recommended rest, hydration tips, movement guidance, or follow-up sessions. Thoughtful aftercare helps enhance and prolong the results of Tuina massage.

Pain
"I came into the office unable to turn my neck or shoulder to the left without feeling shooting pain down my right side. I was so afraid I had pinched a nerve and would be immobile for months. Within 45 minutes, the pain was gone and I could move my neck and shoulder again. The acupuncture treatment was so effective, and then Dr. Liu located an acupuncture spot in my right hand that was connected to my neck, shoulders and back. It was like magic! He massaged the point on my right hand, and the remaining of the pain was released. Thank you, Dr. Liu! "
