How does acupuncture work at ACA?

At ACA, we use ancient Chinese acupuncture techniques combined with modern technology. Dr. Liu, the founder of ACA, and his colleagues have invented and perfected AI Acupoint equipment. This equipment has gained intellectual property and can accurately diagnose illness and corresponding acupoints. ACA’s acupuncturists use AI Acupoint and clinical experiences to develop acupuncture treatment plans that combine ancient oriental medicine theory based on patients’ conditions. Our professional acupuncturists will cooperate with patients’ physicians to provide the best treatment experience.

Our acupuncture treatments:

Pain Relief

Acupuncture has been used to treat aches and pains since 200 B.C. It can help improve the circulation of Qi (energy), relax muscles and tissues, increase local nutritional intake, and balance local structures.

Weight Loss

After the initial consultation, we customize a plan using a combination of acupuncture, ear seeds, and herbal tea and base it on your body’s conditions.

Depression

By balancing energy and reducing stress, acupuncture naturally supports mental health and helps alleviate depression.

Anxiety

Many people have been using acupuncture for anxiety for thousands of years, and it is now a trusted alternative to modern approaches in the US.

Stress

Acupuncture helps relieve stress by balancing energy, calming the mind, and promoting relaxation, offering a natural way to support overall well-being.

Cancer

Relieve cancer-related pain: acupuncture is a powerful tool for relieving aches and pain caused by cancer, nausea, and swollen joints.

Sport Injury

After a 15-20 min session of acupuncture, patients with physical injuries experience the following benefits, pain relief, reduced swelling, and increased mobility.

Woman's health

Traditional Chinese Medicine’s (TCM) view on gynecology is different from western medicine. Male and female organs, meridians, blood, and Qi (vital energy) have similar activities but females have special physiological structures.

Dermatology

In the TCM approach, pathological factors are represented by earthly elements. An excess amount of an element can result in the unique characteristics of a disease.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does an acupuncture session last?
Normally, a session will last 40-60 minutes. Sometimes it will be longer than this time.

How many sessions do I need?
As for the number of sessions, it depends on the situation of the patients. Normally, most likely, you can see a great result in the treatment for the first time. But typically, for an acute pain condition, patients can recover from 1-2 treatments. For some illness conditions that last for one week to 3 months, the patient may need 5-10 times treatment to recover. For a chronic illness that lasts more than three months, patients may need 2-3 treatments each week for 1-3 months or more. Our highly skilled doctor will diagnose the patient’s situation and make a customized acupuncture treatment plan for patients.

What to do after acupuncture at ACA?
The doctors and acupuncturists will give detailed, customized acupuncture aftercare suggestions, including lifestyle, diet, and exercises.

Is acupuncture painful?
The acupuncture needles are extremely thin. Insertion may cause a little discomfort, but people often don’t feel them inserted.

How much does acupuncture cost?
It depends on your illness situation and treatment plan. The price of acupuncture for a single session can be found here.

How does acupuncture affect the body?
Acupuncture points stimulate the central nervous system, and this, in turn, releases chemicals into the muscles, spinal cord, and brain. These biochemical changes may facilitate the body’s natural healing abilities and promote physical and emotional well-being.
